NEW home for FREE Billy Waters school resources

Billy Waters: Songs from the Shadows is a ground-breaking classroom resource which tells the story of Billy Waters – a celebrity Black disabled street performer in Regency London. A graphic novel for students aged 10-16, it addresses marginalised voices and how to read the archive. Created for schools and educators, it can be used in English, History, Drama, Citizenship, and cross-curricular teaching.

Created by the Age of Revolution project funded by Waterloo200 Ltd., it was written by Ben Marsh, illustrated by Selena Scott, and developed from Mary L. Shannon’s RSVP Peterson Fellowship and her book Billy Waters Is Dancing.
